Driving Off The Cliff
All religious paths will be judged by the same God. No matter what god you believe in, everybody will be judged by the same one true God. Only one religious path, however, will lead to Salvation. That is through Faith in Jesus Christ. It's that simple.
If you were riding shotgun and the person driving was heading straight for the edge of a 1000 foot cliff, would you say something? Would you warn them about the cliff if they didn't see it?? Or would you just let them crash and burn at the bottom? You would probably warn them about the cliff and do everything in your possible power to lead them away from it. Well, its the same with the gospel. Every person on this earth that does not believe in Jesus Christ and is not saved is heading straight for the edge of that cliff. They will crash and burn at the bottom if we don't say anything.
It is up to us to tell them and warn them. To love them and guide them in the way to righteousness. There is only one righteous path; and that is through Jesus Christ. It is up to us to spread the word to as many people as possible before they crash and burn at the bottom of that ever coming cliff. It is up to me.
I heard this analogy the other day after one of my friends and I ended up sharing the gospel with the guy at the cash register. I was very impressed with my friend who started our conversation with this guy, because the thought to share the gospel with him had never even crossed my mind. When we got in the car after she told me about this analogy and how it had really impacted her. After she explained it to me and what it meant, I realized that the thought to share the gospel with this random guy in the store should have crossed my mind. It didn't, but it SHOULD have. I realized that the thought to share the gospel should cross my mind with every single person I talk to. Whether its one of my friends or someone I have never seen before and will never see again! We prayed for Justin in the car that day, after our conversation. Jesus Christ needs to be in the forefront of our minds in everything we do. In everything that I do. In every thought, action, and word.
